Your Privacy is Our Priority
The Countrywide Insurance Group insurers* (Countrywide) are trusted providers of insurance products and services to customers of the Countrywide family of companies. Due to our valued customer relationships, our privacy policy limits our sharing of nonpublic personal information we have about you ("data"). This notice is meant to explain how we protect and use your data. We want you to know that data you give us is safe, secure and used responsibly.

Data Protection
We protect your data in many ways. These measures include:

  • Requiring our business partners to protect data;
  • Audits of our access controls; and
  • Limiting data access to those employees who need it to serve you.
Data Collection
We may collect data from:
  • Your applications or other forms (such as name, address, age, Social Security number, credit card information and health history);
  • Your transactions with us or others (such as name and address and claims history); and
  • Consumer reporting firms (such as credit, claim or health history).
Data Sharing
We may share data with the following entities:
  • Affiliates within the Countrywide family (such as a mortgage lender and insurance agents);
  • Firms that perform services for us;
  • Government agencies as required; and
  • Consumer reporting firms.

We may disclose to the entities above the information that we get from you. We may share transaction and experience data with our affiliates as allowed by law unless you opt out of such sharing. You will get a separate notice which describes how to opt out. Such sharing will permit our affiliates to make available to you certain products and services. However, please be aware that we will not share data with firms not affiliated with us so that they may solicit their products to you. Data we get from a report prepared by a consumer reporting firm may be kept by such firm and shared with others. We do not share data except as described above or as required or allowed by law.

Internet Policy
Our web servers record a visitor's domain name but not the email address. These servers also track the website pages that are visited. This information helps us to improve our websites.

Data Review and Correction
You have the right to see and correct your data. To get a copy of your data that we have, please write to: Countrywide Insurance Group, P.O. Box 19702, Irvine, CA, 92623-9702; Attn: Data Request. We may charge you a fee to cover our costs.

Privacy Policy Changes
If changes to our privacy practices affect your data, we will send you a new privacy notice before such change.

Any rights that a consumer, claimant, or beneficiary may have as described in this
notice are not limited by any standard privacy notices that we also use.
